Healing & Aftercare
Proper aftercare is one of the most important factors in achieving a successful outcome. During healing, specialized stretching exercises help reduce the risk of the tissue reattaching. Our team will personally demonstrate each exercise and ensure you feel comfortable performing them at home.
Some discomfort is normal for the first 1–5 days following the procedure. We encourage families to think of the stretches as an essential part of the healing process rather than an optional step.
We will also schedule follow-up visits to monitor healing, answer questions, and support your family throughout recovery.
Improvement looks different for every child. Some babies show improvement immediately, while others improve gradually over several days or weeks as they heal and continue working with their lactation consultant or therapist — which is why we keep collaborating with your care team after the release, not only before it.
